This VHF FM transmitter carries the programmes of Rutland Radio to Stamford and surrounding areas of the town. The studios of Rutland Radio are in Oakham and there is another transmitter serving most of Rutland at Manton.
The mast is situated on the border between Lincolnshire and Rutland and carries a number of mobile phone cells as well as the Rutland Radio aerial. From the side of the mast I could get to I was not able to see the actual aerial. The Three element VHF aerial seen below probably receives the signal from the Manton transmiiter which is near Oakham.
