This year the Group has produce a Colour Calendar for 2009 featuring twelve pubs in the Gorton area. Once, pubs were the centre of local life, where people used to meet and enjoy each others company. Often someone would play the piano and there would be a sing-song. However pub life has changed with the times and many local pubs have had to close. We hope that the photos in the calendar will jog residents' memories of time gone by. | |
