Hong Kong (which means ‘fragrant harbour’ in Chinese), is one of the most densely populated countries/dependencies in the world, with an overall density of more than 6,200 people per km².

Below are a selection of photographs taken during my various trips to Hong Kong.
For my first visit in 2002, I stayed with friends in the new development of Island Resort, at Sui Sai Wan. This development consisted of 8 tower blocks built over a large shopping mall and bus station.
Currently ranked in the top 50 of the world's tallest residential buildings, the flat I stayed in was
on the 60th floor and the lift took just 45 seconds!

International Finance Centre 2 (commonly referred to as IFC2) is the tallest building in Hong Kong, usurping the place once occupied by Central Plaza. It is the 7th tallest office building in the world.

Hong Kong Tramways is one of only three tramways in the world that have regular operation of double-decker trams (the others being Blackpool, England and Alexandria, Egypt), and is the only system that runs exclusively on double-deckers.
