The main contractors, ProTech, are finishing off the roof structure at the east end ready for the thatchers.

The old render has to be chipped away in preparation for the new.

P & G Thatchers of Somerset have already begun work at the western end using traditional Norfolk water reed thatch.

The underside of the west roof shows the fire retardant lining.
