Embroider facial features (circular eyes approx 7.5mm, mouth following curve of crochet aprox 1.5cm long) Ears (make 2): With fawn, 4ch, turn, 3dc into chain. Continue round workin g3dc into back of chain, dc in turning chain 2dc in each of next 3dc, dc in base of rectangle Change to green *1dc, 2dc in next dc* around fawn, sl st to start Sew securely to edge of face, using fawn yarn in a tapestry needle. Notes: Arial for Tinky Winky (purple) Join purple to centre top of head, 28ch sl st back to head dc in each, join back to head, dc in back of each ch, sl st dc at front and back of chain together to form tube: for first 7 sts, work open edge of tube towards centre, for next 14 sts, work open edges of tube away from centre, for las t7 sts, work open edges of tube towards centre. This should be sufficient to maintain a rough trianglular form, without it reverting to a circle. sl st to head, break off and attach firmly using tapestry needle. Arial for Po (red) Join red to centre top of head, 14 ch join to 7th chain from hook, dc back to head, sl st to head, dc in back of chain back to join work 15dc into ring, sl st dc at back and front of chain together. Arial for Laa-Laa (yellow): Join yellow to centre top of head, 20ch dc in each ch, sl st back to head dc in back of each ch, 1ch sl st dc at front and back of chain together to form tube, sl st to head. Sl st through last row of sl st for 7 stitches, then sl st in alternate stitches to last 3 sl st (5 sl st in all). This gives a passable curl.
