in contrast shades of green.
Set of 4 4mm dpns, guage approx 6sts, 6rows to 1" 
Note: this will stretch when stuffed.

It is necessary to stuff this as you work, as certain parts (eg. the tail) 
will be inaccessible if left to the end.

k1m1 - knit twice into the stitch to increase.

In sc, pick up 12 stitches along one lateral edge of tail, from point to body. 
Knit 12 rows of garter stitch, decreasing 1 stitch at tail end each row.
Repeat at other side.

Back:
The ridge on the back is easier crocheted: using a hook one size 
smaller than the knitting needles and sc, slip stitch down the purl row 
of the centre back. 
(American crochet terminology - British stitches are one higher)
In groups of seven, work 1 stitches in slip stitch, 1 in single crochet
1 in double crochet, one in treble, 1 in double, 1 in single, 1 slip stitch
At end, turn and work single crochet into all stitches.

Eyes:
Embroider or swiss-darn eyes between first set of short-rows on head, 
and nose ridge.
