About St. John's Church

St. John's is a friendly, modern Parish Church, centrally located in Mickleover on the corner of Devonshire Drive and Darwin Road. Inside the church is light and modern and offers a place for prayer during the week.

Our main service is on a Sunday at 10am. Children are always very welcome at our Church and creche facilities are available during our main Sunday service. Details of other services are available in the events calendar.

For the very young and their parents, St. John's Tots group meets in church on Fridays in term time at 2pm followed by play in the hall and a cup of tea – everyone is welcome, just come along.

Please be assured of a warm and friendly welcome at any of our church services or activities.

We are in an Ecumenical Covenant with the other churches in Mickleover - Our Lady of Lourdes (Catholic), Mickleover Methodist Church, the Russian Orthodox Community of St David, and All Saints (Anglican).

We are partners with All Saints in a Mickleover Mission and Ministry Area (MMA).

Baptisms, Marriage and Banns

There is an office hour on the first Thursday of the month 7:30 - 8:30pm in the vestry to arrange baptisms, weddings and banns. To find out more information, visit our Baptism and Marriage pages.

Other Activities

The hall is available for hire and a number of activities take place most weekdays. We have a church magazine, with a new edition brought out each month. Feel free to look through our photos pages to get an idea of what we get up to at St. John's.
