CP Lee - Musician, Writer, Broadcaster and a lecturer in Cultural Studies at the University of Salford, UK. He has written and presented a series of documentaries for BBC Radio on topics ranging from Tiny Tim to Jazz Comic Lord Buckley, and he is a frequent contributor in the broadcast media on a wide variety of cultural topics for both TV and Radio. His first book 'Like The Night Revisited' was based on the infamous Dylan 'Judas!' concert at Manchester's Free Trade Hall in 1966 which he attended. Three other books followed, one more on Dylan, one on Manchester Popular Music and his most recent book about his personal music history. Currently researching Comedy and Identity at the University of Salford, CP continues to perform consultancy roles in the Heritage Industry as well as teaching, playing ukulele and fronting the Salford Sheiks, and not to mention ... running a Comedy website - itsahotun.com - devoted to the history of the Mancunian Film Company. AND NOW THIS WAS THEN - CP has written and starred in his own TV series, Teach Yourself Gibberish, stage plays, notably Sleak which broke all box office records at London's Royal Court Theatre before transferring to the Roundhouse. (See Ray Lowry's 1977 NME review of Sleak) It was then performed in Amsterdam, Munich, Brussels and New York. Of late, CP won "Best Fringe Production" at Buxton Festival for Menotti's The Medium and he wins always with his performances as Lord Buckley - latest was to celebrate the Lords' 100th birthday in April 2006.
