Notes

• Shown in the 1861 census as six months old grandaughter of William and Mary.
  Alice was born at "The Union Workhouse" in Bedford.  The illigitimatedaughter of Eliza.
  There is no father shown on the birth certificate of Alice.  The birth certificate of her older sister Emma shows Henry Newman as Emma's father and Elizabeth did marry Henry after the birth of Alice so logically Henry (Harry) is Alice's father, but why not shown on the birth certificate if that was the case?
