- Peter Sullivan gives birth date as 10th August 1899.
A search of the Births Index failed to show registration of the birthof Irene Terresa Lonsdale in any year between 1893 and 1904 but this was eventually tracked down as Lansdale!.
Her death is registered in the register, September quarter 1947:
Sullivan, Irene T. age 48, Ware, 4b 152.
I have a copy of her death certificate:
Age 48, cause of death Mitral Regurgitation (failure of the mitral heart valve), Rheumatic Endocarditis (caused by rheumatic fever), Chronic Nephritis (inflamation of the kidney).
Died at Oxford House, High Road, Turnford, Cheshunt, Hertfordshire.
This also suggests her birth in about 1899.
Birth is recorded in Gen Reg as "Lansdale" ref: sept Q 1899 West Derby, Lancashire, 8b 255
Lansdale and Lonsdale are interchanged at various stages.
