Miss Roberts

Born in Sidcup at an unspecified date Miss Roberts spent the first 10years of her life in one long daydream. It wasn't untill the age of thirteen that she finally decided that it might be a good idea to learn how to read.

She studied art at the Slade School of Fine Art in London and then, rebelling somewhat against fine art, she went on to train in clowning. Aswell as performing with the band Miss Roberts also performs her own surreal and macarbe monologues around London and exhibits her paintings.

Miss Roberts has a rare brain condition which causes her to hallucinate and experience what she describes as an overwhelming and horrific truth. She developed her performance in part as a way of expressing the absurdity of her life, and to celebrate that absurdity.
