Angela Slept
She snored like a Rhino
Now she sleeps silently
All day
And all night
Though I try to wake her
I bought her some flowers
But they died before she woke to see them
I bought her a sheep
Dog
But he ran off with the Avon Lady
I bought her a large, grey, plastic Rhino
Cause I couldn't fit a real one in the bedroom
But the Rhino he just stands and stares
And says nothing
I think he knows why
She sleeps so
But he wont tell me
I painted her room bright red
So she might hear me in her sleep
I know she loves me
But she's so cold
Oh so so so so cold
I tell her that I want her
but she wont wake up
I tell her that I need her
but she won't wake up
I tell her that I'll die without her
but she stays still
not a blink
not a flicker
now that her snores have
gone away
Angela slept
She snored like a Rhino
