Welcome to my web site, the main purpose of which, is to show the construction of a 4Ē scale Single Cylinder Burrell Traction Engine.

In viewing this site you agree to my Termís & Conditions. Please take a moment to read them.

This site was started in November 2005, at which time I have already spent about 2 years on this project. There will hopefully be fairly frequent updates so please bookmark this site and come back again.

Please bear in mind if you are using dial up, that by necessity this is a graphics intensive site so each page may take a while to load, I hope you feel the wait is worth your time.

If you experience any problems with viewing the site or broken links then please let me know and I will attempt to fix the problem. Contact

A little information on where site visitors come from

I can access limited general data about visitors to my site and thought it may be of interest  to others to see where site visitors come from, it has surprised me just how far interest has spread. I will keep adding to the list occasionally, it should be pointed out that these are in no particular order.

Things have been moving on steadily, but as all the major work is now done I have been going back & finishing off all those little bits that were left to do another day. Also making progress with the myriad of small seemingly insignificant bits needed to finish the engine, some of which take an inordinate amount of time in relation to the component produced, but are never the less essential.

As there are no more significant parts to produce I will begin a diary page with notes of what I've been up to and a few photo's here & there. But I may still add a little to the construction pages.
