OLD TIME JOANNA

Recent reviews of my playing of Margaret's Waltz on the compilation CD "Ripples Across the Pond" were so positive that I decided to make my own. I am now proud to present this debut solo CD featuring some of my favourite tunes played on acoustic piano and which is available for £11 p&p. The tunes are mainly from the Southern hillbilly fiddling repertoire but with a sprinkling of Cajun, Gospel, Canadian and a tinge of Boogie and Irish thrown in for good measure. This CD is studio recorded and produced by myself from home and I've minimised on "effects" to capture the pure acoustic quality of the raw recording.

My playing basically examines some of the cross-over areas between Afro-American blues piano and Scots-Irish fiddle tunes, both traditions being very dear to me.
