"Lions And Tigers And Bears" was the last Adventures album to be released before the band stopped touring and recording. It was released in 1993 to much less critical acclaim than "The Sea of Love." The band had been reduced to a four piece act, although the common core of Pat & Eileen Gribben and Terry Sharpe remained, giving the album a distinctly Adventures sound.

Q Review by Andrew Martin

It's been seven years since their debut and it really is time The Adventures (now a four-piece) cracked it. Their incredibly catchy bubblegum pop is all melodies, chiming guitars and keening vocals. Some songs, like Raining All Over The World or I Really Don't Mind seem to be all chorus.

It would be a curmudgeon indeed who couldn't find something to enjoy; the relatively austere, synth-driven Come The Day, perhaps, or the ballad, I Don't Want To Play This Game, which has such a sweetly worded chorus you could listen to it for hours.
