The Adventures are currently in what has been described as a "dormant" period. The last album was released in 1993, and the band have stopped performing live, except for a few shows at the West Belfast Festival and The Empire, Belfast. However, neither Pat nor Terry have quit, or even slowed down, their music careers.

Terry currently sings with Belfast bands The Dead Handsomes and the Electric Bananas amongst others. Both bands gig several nights a week and regularly perform in McHugh's and Madison's. The Dead Handsomes were set up as a sort of spin off from The Adventures. During a tour with Fleetwood Mac, the group suffered a huge setback when both Eileen and Terry lost their voices, leaving only Spud to sing. What came out of it was a Bruce Springsteen cover band, who were "aptly" named The Dead Handsomes. After the tour, they realised what a success it had been and started gigging in various pubs and clubs as both a supplement and for fun.

Pat's career as a songwriter has gone from strength to strength as well. He is still with Simon Fuller from 19 Management as a contracted songwriter. Through this he has been writing with artists from the 19 stable amongst others, the likes of Brian Kennedy and Cathy Dennis and also new talent Ryan Molloy. The following is an extract from the Irish News:

"I never stopped writing songs... I'm up to my neck in music - I'm probably busier right now than I've ever been! When The Adventures last record deal was terminated I was looking around for something to do and Simon Fuller and a guy from BMG showed me a video of their new discovery, Ryan Molloy - a young guy from Newcastle-upon-Tyne - and asked if I'd be interested in writing some songs with him. This would have been about 1995 and I was back in Belfast. Ryan arrived over on the 12th of July that year, we went into a local studio - Green Dolphin - and demoed two songs, he went back to London and the record company loved them." Colin Harper speaking to Pat Gribben, Irish News, 1997

Although rumours have gone around the local press about a reunion and Best of... album, nothing has been set in stone as of yet, although re-recordings of classics such as "Send My Heart" and "To Whom It Concerns" and several new tracks have been recorded at Gary Aiken's studio in Newtownabbey, Co Antrim. No record deal has been sought yet, but as Pat said "I wouldn't rule anything in, or out."
