St Mary's is a Church of England Parish in the Diocese of Chelmsford, Barking area, Redbridge Deanery.

Churchmanship and tradition
Anglo-Catholic worship (Common Worship Order 1). New English Hymnal. Robed mixed adult SATB choir. Simple sung Mass setting at the Parish Mass and occasional motet or introit. Incense every Parish Mass and on Principal Holy Days. Monthly Benediction, Full Catholic Privileges, Sacrament House at High Altar, Walsingham Cell. Choral Evensong approximately quarterly. Resolutions A & B.

The Blessed Sacrament
is perpetually reserved and together with the holy oils may be brought to the sick and housebound at any time.

Events and activities
St Mary's hosts a wide range of regular activities, including bell ringing, the choir, Guides, Brownies and Rainbows, a parent and toddler group and study groups.
