London's most innovative vocal ensemble
THE MELJON SINGERS and pianist Michael Ierace, winner of the Philip & Dorothy Green Award for Young Concert Artists, present an
evening of music fit for heaven.
Herbert Howells wrote his a cappella masterpiece, the deeply moving Requiem, in response to the tragic loss of his young son. The programme also features
Rheinberger's sumptuous and life-affirming Mass in E flat for double choir, together with motets by Duruflé and three young Americans whose music is fast
gaining international recognition. Michael Ierace completes the programme with two Preludes from Rachmaninov's Opus 23 and Debussy's atmospheric
La Cathédrale Engloutie.
