There may be technical problems using the Internet Explorer (IE) web browser with Paypal, which this site uses for
online ticket sales hosted by Iris Tickets. Most people writing about this problem on the web suggest not using Internet Explorer.
The problem does not occur with the latest version of
Firefox -
an excellent alternative to IE which many people prefer. Other web browsers not tested.
If you are determined to stick with IE, try one or more the following fixes (at your own risk).
1) The website www.locos-in-profile.co.uk/Docs/explorerhelp.html
explains that automatic cookie handling may be the problem, and explains how to turn it off (very simple). It recommends turning the setting back on again.
2) If a paypal page does not display correctly in IE, try selecting this setting:
Tools>Internet Options>Browsing history Settings>Every time I visit the web page.
Then, refresh the page by pressing F5 on the keyboard or the refresh button on screen.
3) Some other fixes you may like to try are published here.
(This information is provided for Beercan Chicken's customers (thanks!). If you are reporting the problem to Paypal, as their page
suggests, you should quote the ts.com ticketing site, not theirs. The problem is NOT with www.meljon.org.uk.)
4) Try specifically allowing cookies from paypal.com. I tested this on IE7: Go to Tools > Internet Options > Privacy > Sites >
Address of website [type in paypal.com] > Allow.
