The Meljon Singers

From time to time,The Meljon Singers invites applications from experienced choral singers interested in working with an ensemble of around 25 voices. We currently have vacancies for altos and tenors.

We offer:

• the chance to sing a wide range of music, including works outside the mainstream a cappella repertoire, in a variety of styles and traditions.
  
  
• a fast-moving and stimulating rehearsal pace
  
  
• opportunities to take part in tours, recordings and occasional collaborations with other choirs on large-scale works

• a lively social environment
  
  

We seek:

• good singers with competent sight reading
  
  
• enthusiasm for a cappella and chamber ensemble singing
  
  
• a love of performance
  
  
• regular rehearsal attendance
  
  
• a commitment to home study when necessary
  
  

The Meljon Singers usually rehearse at St John's Church, Seven Kings on Fridays (7.30-10pm), with occasional longer Saturday rehearsals (10am-4pm) and rehearsals at concert venues in the afternoon before the concert. Concert and rehearsal dates are issued well in advance.
