The Meljon Singers
BOCCA APPERTA

Meljon at Geffrye Museum BOCCA APERTA is an ensemble of a dozen voices affiliated to London's Meljon Singers. In 1994 they found themselves called upon to perform at Southwark Cathedral when a soloist dropped out of a charity concert two hours before curtain-up.

Nicknamed Bocca Aperta (Gobsmacked!) by their Artistic Director Mandy Bentley, the group went on to captivate audiences with their lively and intimate concert performances; and the name stuck.

As well as public concerts such as their candlelit Christmas Concert at the Geffrye Museum, the group is in demand for private and corporate events, and specialises in imaginative musical programming for non-denominational weddings.
