There are 11
local RA groups within the historical county of Lincolnshire. These make up
the Lincolnshire Area RA. In addition there is a 12th group which draws its
membership from the whole area. This is primarily for walkers in their 20s and
30s. This is called the Lincolnshire Walking Group. See Contacts page for
details.
-
Note that the
Grimsby/Louth Group is in the administrative authority of North East Lincs and
Scunthorpe is in North Lincs (see adjacent map.)
-
Each group
publishes it's own walks programme for the year. Copies are distributed to all
members in the Area. This web site displays a minimum of 3 months of that
group's programme.
-
From time to
time revisions to the programmes are made. Watch out for these! and
Visit the Walks Update page
-
For further details of walks and membership
information
visit the RA Contacts page.
Visitors to this web site who are NOT currently members of the RA but are considering joining their local group should
visit the RA Contacts
page to find the local Group secretary or other Group
contact.
Local groups
will obviously be aware of the best walks in their area. As their varied programmes
demonstrate they also walk in other areas of the county and beyond.
NO TRANSPORT? Our
group walk programmes generally rely on members using their own private
transport or making car sharing arrangements. If you require lifts
contact the group secretary or the walk leader concerned for help. Note, a few
walks in the programmes are based around the use of trains and buses.
