Questions about why you may not consider archaeology?

Archaeology will involve long days manually digging and working outside in the rain, snow, wind, frost and all weathers. Some units work 12-hour shifts for very little pay. When the job has finished you may have to find alternate work elsewhere from archaeology. There is pressure in the job for example a contracted site. It is a hard life and very few jobs to be gained. So many students leave archaeology as they have their eyes open on what archaeology is about, whilst, others just can't do with the living away from home for 3 months or longer, that may cause family problems. Just consider why and what you expect to get out of archaeology and not what you see on TV or have read about. Just one more thing. Don't think archaeology is glamorous job or is easy.
