Flap Jacks

1. Preheat an oven to 160°C for soft flap Jacks, or 170°C for crispy ones
2. Melt cooking margarine or butter (10oz, 284g) in a large saucepan.
3. Add sugar (4 oz, 113g) and a tablespoon of syrup.
4. After all of the fat has melted stir in oats (20oz, 567g) to produce a uniform mixture.
5. Spread the mixture evenly in a baking tray.
6. Bake in the pre-heated oven for 15 - 20 minutes, the longer it is baked, the crispier the product will be.
