Long trip to the Cairngorms with Mark Jaffray. Viisted the Shelter Stone. Had difficulty getting across the river on the way there, waded across at the bottom on the way back.

Munros: Beinn Mheadhoin (1182m) (SMC Region 8 - The Cairngorms)

Just reached the ridge to the West of Cairngorm, to descend down to Loch Avon	Looking across to Beinn Mheadhoin from the ridge near Cairngorm	Down on the North bank of Loch Avon. Looking across to the ascent path	Nearing the top of Beinn Mheadhoin - these strange granite tors / barns	Me on top of Beinn Mheahoin. Beat Mark to the top by 2 second, as he got stuck :)

Cycled in from Blair Atholl, left bikes beside Bruar Lodge. Was wearing dodgy Nike shoes, and after slipping loads of times decided that was the last time I would wear them.

Munros: Beinn Dearg (1008m) (SMC Region 6 - Glen Garry to Braemar)

Mark at the top. We cycled in for over an hour, parked the bikes and made for the top.

Me on top of Beinn Dearg. Not a good view.. and then a girl appeared from nowhere..

.. andtook this photo. She was lovely.... but disappeared after 2 minutes... oh well...

Trees in wood around Bruar Lodge. Old light Hi-Tec boots were useless... made me buy new pair

Walk in to Knoydart from Kinlochhourn, camping beside the bothy at Barrisdale, then did Ladhar Bheinn. Got back to the tent in the dark. Dad fell in the river!

Munros: Ladhar Bheinn (1020m) (SMC Region 10 - Loch Eil to Glen Shiel)

Arrived at campsite beside the Bothy at Barrisdale, after walk in from Kinlochhourn. Around 2pm	Looking up the valley to Mam Barrisdale from the campsite	Looking up through the mist to Ladhar Bheinn from campsite	Just started on the ascent of Ladhar Bheinn. Traversing the South bank of Loch Hourn	Higher up - looking east down Loch Hourn towards Kinlochhourn.
Dad up ahead, walking into Coire Dhorrcail; main ridge ahead	Dad on the Druim a Choire Odhair ridge. Narrow but easy	Ascending a steeper part of the ridge	Dad on the top of Ladhar Bheinn. We decided to go back down our ascent route because of the mist	Me on top of Ladhar Bheinn. Couldnt see much... quite windy as well.
Coming back down the Druim a Choire Odhair ridge.	Just got below the mist, looking down to Barrisdale.	Looking across Loch Hourn towards Arnisdale	Further down the ridge, starting to get dark	Last light of the day. Got back to Bothy / tent by head torch in the dark. Dad fell in river!

Next day in Knoydart, trying to do the Loony & Meall Bhuidle. Some photos include the walk out the next day.

Munros: Luinne Bheinn (939m), Meall Buidhe (946m) (SMC Region 10 - Loch Eil to Glen Shiel)

Start of the walk up to Luinne Bheinne. Just left campsite on way to Mam Barrisdale	At Mam Barrisdale. Looking down Gleann an Dubh Lochan towards Inverie	Probably looking over to Larven once started up the ridge to Luinne Bheinn	From higher up looking towards Inverie	Dad coming up the path, just South of the NW ridge of Luinne Bheinn
Near top of Luinne Bheinn. Poor Dad got very tired!	In fact, he didnt make it to the next Munro. Waited a few hours for me.	I practically ran all the way to Meall Bhuide, and ran out of water. View West	Looking back to Luinne Bheinn. Saw an otter on the way back. Got very tired...	Looking along the goddam up and down ridge that I had to get back.
Looking over to Larven	Looking East towards Sgurr na Ciche	Somewhere on the ridge.	Almost back to the top of Luinne Bheinn. Struggled to get to top, ran out of energy - no food.	Near top again.
Dad has recovered... but I had to drink 2 litres of water to get fit for the descent	He must get rid of that Jacket	Good view looking over to Ladhar Bheinn. We ascended/returned down the main ridge in background	Mam Barrisdale. Changed our mind about walking out as we were both tired. Drank Whisky instead	Mam Barrisdale
