Sig Wonder
Wingspan:38 inches
Engine:OS fp25 Type: very sporty sports Description This is one of Sig's great models that continues to last and last, and now that I have finally bought and flown one I can easily see why. It is a brilliant plane, that is both forgiving, and exciting in equal measures. It's small size means that it can be kept ready to fly, thrown in the car assembled, and on reaching the flying field can be thrown with equal abandon about the sky. My example was second hand, but whilst obviously extensively flown, had been very well cared for. This is usually a good sign in a model, so long as it has not been crashed. Anyway, it is as quick as you want it to be, and as agile, plus it has a great glide for a flying wing. The OS fp25 I have powering mine is at the top end of the power range but that does not mean I always fly it at top speed. I love to fly it up high, stop the engine and then dive it down and listen to the wind whistling over the wings. Great, excellent. Engine This fp 25 is vertually brand new, having been intially installed in a plane I bought second hand, whose wings folded on the forth flight with an almighty bang. The plane went in the bin but the fp 25 was cleaned and installed in the Wonder, and like the Wonder it is a wonderful engine. Score: 10 out of 10 Most exciting moment The Wonder is a quick model, small, slippery and it can be difficult to determine which way up it is, especially after half a dozen twinkle rolls. One of these days I am going to trash it because it will come out of a roll upsidedown and I will pull the elevator stick instead of pushing. Home |
