Twinstar

Wingspan: 56 inches

Engine: two Graupner Speed 400 can motors
Power supply: 7 cell 3300 nimh

Type: foam parkflyer

Description
This is my son's second plane, bought for him with the intention of giving him the experience of an easy to fly electric model. It does sound good on a low pass with the two electric motors singing away, and because it it electric it is very easy to operate, and does not require wiping down after each flying session.

So far the flying has been uneventful, but I still feel slightly uneasy about the amount of flex in the wings. I am sure it is OK, but until it has flown a few hours the thought of an all foam model whizzing about the sky makes me a little nervous.

Also, I can see why people buy the Twinstar and re-engine it with brushless motors. The power generated by the standard motors is not great, although quite adequate to float the machine about the sky, but that might soon become boring for some people.

However, so far so good. The Twinstar is an easy to fly model, that is mildly aerobatic, looks and sounds good in the air, but best of all, as far as my son is concerned, is clean and simple to operate.
