The Plans

I would hardly describe myself as a prolific designer, or even a designer at all, but when the chips are down and you need a plan in a hurry for an indoor competition, the easiest answer in my case was to design one directly onto the page. As there was only a week to publication it had to work, but even so I built a copy the same evening and tested it at the weekend. Luckily for me it flew, even outdoors and in a stiff breeze.

That is how my designing career started. At the moment there are only two designs, and the Flying Wing is still untested, although it is built. When, and if, I feel creative I will add any designs that actually fly to the page. Have fun, and build your models, please don't buy them ready made.

You will need Adobe Acrobat to view the plans, but this is available free from the Adobe website.

Canard Blaster

As I mention in the introduction paragraph the Canard Blaster came about because I needed a design for an indoor, one-model competition, and I needed it in a hurry. It had to be easy to build so that it did not discourage prospective builders. It also had to be low cost, and easy to repair, and most important of all easy to fly, so that both adults and kids could join in and have a bit of fun.

Whilst it is hardly a very original idea, it does seem fly. So download the plan, and have fun.

Click on the plan to open it in Acrobat, then save it to the Desktop so that you can print it at your leisure. It should print onto an A4 sheet at the correct size, but I have made 150% and 180% versions, and they all fly.

Flying Wing

To come as soon as I can make it fly!
