The Merseyside Guild of Weavers Programme

 

When and where does the Guild meet?

Our meetings take place on the first Saturday of each month (except August when there is no meeting) in Sister Anthony's studio at the Metropolitan Cathedral, Liverpool. The studio is open from 10.30 and meetings start at 11am or 1.30pm. Why not come earlier to meetings to chat, bring work to do? Make a day of it instead of half a day. Tea, coffee and biscuits available - help and friendship too!

Meetings start at 10.30am. Afternoon speakers usually begin at 1.45pm. All-day workshops are indicated in the programme.

  • 6th January - Members' Meeting - Design Day

  • 3rd February - Spinning Workshop (Val Bryant)

  • 3rd March - AGM, Jill Hutchinson - Tapestry

  • 7th April - No meeting. Museum trip date TBC

  • 5th May - Informal Ply-Splitting Workshop  (Celia and Chris)

  • 2nd June - Recycling Talk by Mr. D. Lewis of

  • 7th July - Informal Needle-Felting Workshop

  • 1st September - Workshop/Talk re: US

  • 6th October - Talk-Lees Tapestry Works- Colin

  • 3rd November -Members' Meeting - Experiments

  •                            with fill-gap techniques. (Celia) or bring

  •                            something of your own to work on.

  • 1st December - Christmas Party - Raffle and Draw

  •                             Christmas lunch.

West Lancashire Lacemakers -Crafts Unite Event  Saturday 27th October 2007

                           We have been invited to demonstrate and display at this event  which will be held at Bootle Town Hall, Oriel Rd Bootle from 10pm to 4pm

 

Meetings cost £1 to paid up members and £2 for visitors, except for full day workshops which cost £5 for non-members.
