Harmonica Amplification Tips
~ A few ideas for harp blowers ~

- If you use a hand-held mic with the harmonica avoid
going right up to the main vocal mic with it because the harp will be picked
up
twice.
- If you are using a vocal mic on a stand for your vocals and harp there
will be a problem if your voice is quiet because the harp is loud and
probably also closer to the mic. It is a tall order for the sound engineer to
keep the levels even throughout the performance. Try backing
off a bit for the harp solos.
- Vacuum cleaner attachments (flat hole at one end and round at the other)
are good for connecting harmonicas to microphones. * Thanks to bluesman
Colin MacIntyre for this original idea.
