I am a 44 year old, born and bred in Liverpool, England, now living in the town of Widnes in Cheshire.  I am (and have always been) a Liverpool supporter, though I don't get to the match as often as I would like these days.

I am currently working as the IT Manager at the Blue Planet Aquarium, having worked for Capita for 10 weeks at the Criminal Records Bureau on the Liverpool waterfront, having taken redundancy after 17 years from a company called SchlumbergerSema. I originally worked for the Home Office in Bootle (see my pictures for an animation of the demise of the sickest building in Europe), but was privatised to Sema in 1995, and they were taken over by Schlumberger in 2001 after a major share price collapse caused by the costly purchase of a German telecoms company. I then joined Capita at the Criminal Records Bureau, but only stuck it for 10 weeks before jacking it in to work with the fishes!

After going for a swim with the sharks, I took up scuba diving again and have got interested in underwater photography. See here for examples.

I was married for eight years to Patricia (nee Culley), but have been divorced for about 4 years.  We have a 11 year old daughter called Lucy, a photo of whom can be found on my Photo Album page.
