The photographs below show the movement of some
of the locomotives being transported to and from the Churnet Valley Railway at
Froghall, situated on the A52 Stoke to Ashbourne road, most transport operators
and drivers will know the road by the two notorious hills, Kingsley Bank when
approaching from the west and Whiston Bank from the east, Froghall sits between
the two. |

David Chalker - a tribute |

David sadly passed away in December 2004, gone before his time, a very knowledgeable truck enthusiast who started photographing trucks in the late '60s. It was a privilege to have known him. These photographs below are from his huge collection will remain on my site as a tribute to him. |
