Dr Buzzard's Dr Buzzard's Original Savannah Band was the idea of Stony Browder Jr and August Darnell, who went on to later fame as Kid Creole And The Coconuts. The group produced four albums before disbanding. Their totally unique music was an amazing clash of bittersweet vocals, seventies pop and the big band sound of the 1930s and 40s. Their lavishly orchestrated sound probably
helped influence Moroder on Donna Summers's 'I Remember Yesterday'. |
