1977 album artwork: 'Munich Machine'. Produced by Giorgio Moroder & Pete Bellotte.

Munich Machine

Munich Machine, the album, consisted of two non-stop full length tracks: the 16 minute 'Get On The Funk Train' and a new medley of previous Moroder & Bellotte euro-hits: 'Love To Love You Baby' / 'Trouble Maker' / 'Try Me I Know We Can Make It' / 'I Wanna Funk With You Tonite' / 'Spring Affair'.

Munich Machine (a clever pun on 'music machine') was Moroder and Bellotte's 'house band' throughout the 1970s and the general line-up changed little from album to album. Amongst others it included Thor Baldursson, Geoff Bastow, Madeline Bell, Chris Bennett, Mats Bjoerklund, Frank Dietz, Cap Etienne, Keith Forsey, Sue Glover, Lee Harper, Les Hurdle, Jurgen Koppers, Mack, Sunny Leslie, Elmar Lewis, Dino Solera, Bobby Sterne, Joanne Williams and Dan Wyman.

Many of these names could be found on a diversity of other people's albums, both disco and rock. For example, engineer Mack also worked extensively with ELO and Queen, drummer Keith Forsey was no stranger to the hits of Silver Convention and Boney M - and Madeline Bell, a highly reputed singer in her own right, appeared on several tracks by French synthesiser pioneers Space (of 'Magic Fly' fame) and Cerrone.
