Andrew Clark 4th Dan

Started training at the age of six attaining junior black belt at the age of fourteen. Andrew is one of the few grass root members who have trained in Budokan Karate for over 20 years and was the first junior black belt for KBI in Wales. A gifted technician, superb competition kumite and kata performer and has dominated the open all style karate tournament in Wales in the 80’s, 90’s and 2000. Andrew is very well known for his talent at local and international level within KBI and the local karate circuit.

He has represented KBI (Wales) and the Welsh National karate team on numerous occasions and was gold and silver medal winner in the World KBI Champion held in Penang, Malaysia in 1987. A good ambassador for Budokan Karate in Wales and is one of Sensei Mike Tan most loyal students and indeed a favourite student of the late grandmaster Chew Choo Soot. He is the present Welsh chief coach for KBI and Kata coach for KBI (UK), and a member of the Budokan national squad.
