Here we have some magazine images that you may have seen before.

I managed to get a copy of this magazine, sad but true! I love the style
 of the paintings, on magazine covers in the 1940s.

Another painting by C.Rupert.Moore from the cover of Aero Modeller 
was also used on the Dust Jacket of A.F.P. See the later version of the
 1940 volume 1

An other strange thing, this Febuary1943 Aero Modeller magazine is 
shown  in a 1942 1st edition of volume 3 A.F.P and was also used for one impression of 
C.Rupert.Moore's book, called  Aircraft paintings,
 see the C.Rupert Moore section.

 Approx. 22x28cms.  96pages,  Magazine style booklet containing the plans of 39 
different aircraft @ 1/72nd scale.  The aircraft are Spitfire, Hurricane, Henley, Gladiator, Defiant, 
Skua, Roc, Battle, Albacore, F.6/34, Lysander, Bloch 151, Dewoitine 510, Morane-Saulnier 406,
Me.109, He.112, Hs.126, Curtiss Hawk 75A, NA.50, Grumman F2-F1, Curtiss Xp.40, Seversky P.35, 
Douglas 8A, Curtiss Wright 21, Curtiss YP.37, Curtiss SBC-4, Blenheim, Beaufort, Wellington, Whitely, Potex  Hampden, 63, Amiot 370, Me.110, He.111, DO.17, DO.215 & Curtiss A18. 
Each has a b+w photo & salient details about the aircraft & its characteristics etc along with a plan page
showing the aircraft from different angles.  Some of the larger bombers plans are larger & open out.
There are also some excellent period aeromodelling adverts for kits (FROG, Cleveland, Scalecraft, 
Drome, Truscale, Skybirds etc.
A note at the front acknowledges the help of Flight magazine & the aero-modeller staff
as well as the Air Ministry - it also states that.
"in the cases of several aircraft, it has not been possible to give full 
particulars of armaments, owing to Air Ministry restrictions in force at the time of publication".
