oversized hardcover 9" x 12". "present war" and D-Day,  published around late 1945. It contains 16 large colour prints from aircraft paintings by,  C.Rupert Moore, A.R.C.A. 
 

The book also contains a 12 page biography of C. Rupert Moore, A.R.C.A., with Descriptive Notes on each painting.

This book has an inset applique colour plate on the front cover. Note I have now seen six front covers for this book so far, I wonder how many more versions are around. All are also used on covers of Aero Modeller Magazines.

Airspeed Horsa Assault Gliders on their way to a Battle.

 

C. Rupert Moore, also patented "The Moore Drive" Patent No 512974 a twin drive system for rubber powered model aircraft in 1938.

This  key  moment  in  the  development  of  aviation  is  captured  in  a  1945  painting  by  C. Rupert Moore, A.R.C.A  in  the  Royal  Aeronautical  Society  Library's  art  collections.

A  deluxe  250-piece  wooden  jigsaw  of  this  painting  is  available for  via Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund Enterprises 
Found under, Giftware, models, puzzles&toys.

The income which the Royal Aeronautical Society receives from the sales of the jigsaw will be used towards the conservation of historic aviation material in the Society's Library.
