GBM Pro v2 in production release.

Discover 12 and Discover 3D v6.0 released.
Discover 3D now installs automatically as part of the main Discover installation. Access is provided to users who have purchased the 3D module. A 3D viewer is provided to all users of Encom Discover v12.

Patches are now available for MapInfo (v10.1) and Discover (v11.1) as well as for Discover 3D (v5.063).

Encom Discover 3D v5 is released, as a fully integrated 3D GIS solution for the resource sector.


Providing a seamless link with Encom Discover and MapInfo Professional, Discover 3D turns a 2D environment into a full 3D GIS system to view maps, sections, level plans and annotated drillhole traces with 3D objects such as underground development, block models etc.

Compass Enterprise from Encom
Compass Enterprise is an enhanced version of Compass data management software.

It is a global, multi-format data management tool, with the ability for all types of data to take on a spatial component. Corporate databases can be searched rapidly either geographically or using key words, instantly providing the user with all the data required on a given project.

Encom and PB MapInfo become PB Business Insight (PBBI)

In December 2007, long-term MapInfo partner Encom Technologies became part of the PB MapInfo group. In February 2009 the software division of Pitney Bowes became PB Business Insight, with the specialist Natural Resources unit incorporating Encom.
