Standardise Map Presentation by setting up a coded database set styles. Objects such as roads, buildings, sample localities, towns and map regions of matching type will look the same on every map. Updates to the central style definition are easy to incorporate into existing maps, making it simple to conform to corporate or industry standards.
Maintain Your Valuable Data using GeoBasemap's metadata controller. GeoBasemap embeds a description, abstract and data source into your MapInfo table that is available to view through the GeoBasemap Layer Control. The metadata can even be saved and displayed in a separate browser and incorporated in a workspace.
GeoBasemap uses a combination of the Line and Region Intersection tools and the boundary tool to eliminate problems with GIS analysis which come about due to gaps and overlaps in MapInfo regions and lines.
GeoBasemap adds a comprehensive suite of special geological symbols (bedding, joint, mining, oil and gas etc.), as well as North arrows and other common map features, to the basic MapInfo symbols. These can be rotated to a specific strike or dip direction, and include appropriate annotation (dip angle, shaft name etc.). Extra symbols can be added on request.
The GeoBasemap graticule module draws an annotated grid into any MapInfo coordinate system. The scale bar generation tool allows corporate standard scale bars to be set up, and the legend tool allows a legend to be constructed easily from the styles used as defined by the GeoBasemap style coding database.
High-Quality Maps, to scale, can be produced using the GeoBasemap Plotting Module, which sets windows to a specified geographical area using a scale template.
