The creation of the step 6 EMCL has led to a major reshuffle of the structure of the CML. Six Notts teams have been granted an automatic promotion to the Step 7 Supreme Division, due to them having floodlights in place. Ollerton Town, Calverton MW, Kimberley Town, Blidworth Welfare, Newark Town and Harworth CI, all make the step up while last season’s Supreme Division runners-up Forest Town will retain their place having had their temporary floodlights approved. TIGERS ROAMING IN HUCKNALL Read more about developments on the Worksop Guardian website
Worksop Town are to enter a ground share arrangement with Hucknall Town for the 2008/09 season. Sandy Lane leaseholder, 1861 Leisure, have evicted the Tigers following a bitter financial dispute. Worksop Chairman John Hepworth explained "We have been forced into this because we have been locked out of our ground at Sandy Lane. We need a plan B so that we can carry on playing in the UniBond Premier Division."  Site owner Bassetlaw Council's viewpoint is that Sandy Lane must be used for football purposes, but not necessarily by Worksop Town. It is thought that Sunday league teams have been offered the use of Sandy Lane next season. The Tigers had been banking on a groundshare with Gainsborough Trinity but the deal broke down, threatening the Tiger's Unibond future. Fortunately, Hucknall Town stepped in. "Hucknall Town have been fantastic and extremely helpful"  Hepworth added.
