Access Statement For Copperfield B&B, Fleet, Hampshire
Introduction
The following statement is a summary of our provision. If you have any specific questions please

Pre-Arrival
• If you are arriving by road, please look at our web-site for map and
directions.
• If you are arriving by rail, the station is 1.5 miles from our B&B and
there is a taxi rank in the station approach.

Arrival
& Car Parking Facilities
• On arrival at the property, there is on-street parking directly outside the
house. There is a parking restriction
Monday to Friday only between 8am and 10am.
There is a short slope from the pavement to the drive where there is
parking for 4 cars on a first come first served basis.
• The surface is level, flat and paved.
• We can assist guests with luggage.

Entrance & Reception
• The front door has one step 16cm high and is 76cm wide.
• On entry into our home there is a hallway 1.5m by 2.4m
• The floor has ceramic tiles.
Public
Areas - General (Internal)
• The access to the breakfast room is via the kitchen, all on one level with
tiled floor and 70cm at it's narrowest point.
• Access to the bedrooms is via a carpeted staircase with hand rail and 12
steps to a small half landing with 2 further steps to the right and left
leading to the rooms.

Areas - WC
• A small WC/washbasin (not suitable for wheelchairs) is off the entrance area
on the same level.
Restaurant
/ Dining Room, Bar & Lounges, Take Away & Cafe
• Breakfast is served in the breakfast room, there are no steps. The minimum space for access is 80cm. The floor is carpeted.
• The breakfast table has an underspace of 65cm (height) by 75cm (width between
legs)
Laundry
• An iron and ironing board are available for guest use - please ask.
Shop
• Copperfield is within 200m of a petrol station shop selling cold drinks and
sandwiches etc. The town centre is
within 400m with a range of shops, supermarkets and restaurants etc.
• Please ask us for anything you may have forgotten (toothpaste etc).

• There is access to the garden via the breakfast room and utility room. The floor is level throughout with a
threshold of 17cm and a door width of 70cm and a further low step of 7cm onto a
paved patio with table and chairs.

• Bedroom 1: Double-bedded room with a door width of 70cm. The floor is carpeted. There is one folding chair. The bed height is 68cm.
• Bedroom 2: Single-bedded room with a door width of 70 cm. The floor is carpeted. There is one folding chair. Bed height is 68cm.
• Bedroom 3: Single-bedded room with a door width of 70 cm. The floor is carpeted. There is one folding chair. Bed height is 68cm.
• Bedroom 4: double-bedded room with a door width of 70 cm. The floor is carpeted. There is one carver chair. Bed height is 68cm.

Shower-room & WC [Ensuite or Shared]
• Room 1 has a private shower with the edge being 32cm high and 60cm wide. The vanity unit is 83cm high.
• Room 2 has a private shower with the edge being 32cm high and 60cm wide. The vanity unit is 83cm high.

• Room 4 has a private shower room with a door width of 65cm. The shower edge is 15cm and the width is
60cm. The vanity unit is 82cm high and
the toilet is 42cm high.
• The shared bathroom has a bath edge of 53cm high, pedestal wash basin 80cm
high and the toilet is 42cm high.
Grounds
and Gardens
• The rear garden: There is a patio area with table and chairs, lawn and
herbaceous borders sloping up towards the end into small wooded area with
gateway through to towpath of the Basingstoke Canal.
Additional
Information
• Unfortunately, we are unable to accept assistance dogs as we have a dog of
our own.
• There is mobile phone reception for most networks.
• We provide free wireless internet connection for visitors using their own
laptop.
• Smoke alarms are fitted on the ground and first floor. In the case of the alarm sounding, please
evacuate via the front or rear doors.
• We are a non-smoking establishment.
• We can accept small items of food/medication for storage in our fridge by
arrangement.
