Making a Parabolic Reflector for audio recording |
Wind
noise is a nearly perpetual factor in natural sound recording. The recordist's
challenge is to minimize the magnitude of such noise relative to the desired
signal being recorded. Parabolic reflectors, aimed into the wind, create
a small lee for the microphone. That is good, but you can do even better
by adding a windscreen over the entire reflector. |
