Scotland.

The family don't appear to have made many incursions into Scotland. I have records of only 31 people. This includes parents, marriages and christenings. The first reference is a christening in 1660 at Smailholm. The last a christening in 1837 at Tundergarth. One of interest to me is the christening of Gilbert Blakston in 1688 at Edinburgh. Chiefly in that I wonder if he is connected in some way with the Gilbert Blakeston Will 1705 of Driffield, E. Yorks.

In 1881 there were two families both with English origins. One of whom has been transcribed incorrectly as Alexander C. Blackstone. It should be Alan C Blackstone kin of Sir William Blackstone Jurist.
