| Brilliant results from the Pyramid Acro tumblers at the country championships! |

The club entered a small squad of 7 for the tumbling championships this year, but achieved an astonishing set of results. Nick O'Connor and Andrew Edwards started the days events in the Regional 3 boys under 11, taking silver and gold ahead of a field of 6. Danielle Sandor followed close on their heels with a 3rd place in the Regional 3 girls 12-14 group. Then, in the afternoon, Chanese Edwards-Clarke came 2nd in the National 1 girls 12-14, which Leah Crane then matched in the National 2 girls 12-14 group. Alesha Liburd put in a really strong performance to come 2nd in the heavily contested Regional 2 girls 8-11 competition. Finally, an honourable mention for Sophie Bullock who lead her group after 2 brilliant runs, but then lost out through one of those unfortunate slips that can so easily happen! |
