| The Nightflyers team put in a solid performance at today's grade 3-6 competition. Most of them finished well up the rankings, though just outside medal positions. We did get a few trophies for the cabinet though - Cameron came in 3rd, as did Finley (at his first comp). Hollie got a great 2nd place, only missing out on 1st place through the tie-break rules. Mandie then rounded off the afternoon with a 1st place in the 17+ grade 5. So, congratulations to them, commiserations to Jamie and Jamil who just missed the podium (yes Becky, I know you came 4th too, but you were 8 points adrift!) and well done to the first-time competitors, who all managed to successfully complete their routines. Special mentions for Scarlett who actually completed both her routines for the first time in a year, and to Emily, who did a couple of great warmups but then couldn't get the front drops to work for her in competition. Finally of course, our under 9s did brilliantly again, taking the first place team prize - well done! Many thanks to everyone who helped with recording - I hope you didn't find it too stressful. Thanks also to Toni & Helen for all their hard work coaching and looking after you all on the day. | ||
| The next competition is more local - either at Ilkeston or Long Eaton on the 19th or 26th October. We'll let you know when we're certain. | ||
