What do you have to do to become a judge and what are the levels of qualification?
 
 Club Judge County Judge
  • Minimum age 15
  • Covers competition rules, structure and procedures
  • Recording for individual and team competitions
  • Execution judging of routines up to a difficulty level of 4.0
  • 30 minute theory paper plus practical. 60% pass mark
  • Minimum age 16
  • Must have held Club Judge for at least one year
  • Must have judged execution at a minimum of 8 grade 3-6 competitions since attaining Club Judge
  • Covers competition rules and recording of synchronised competitions
  • Execution judging of routines up to a difficulty level of 7.0
  • Difficulty judging of routines up to a difficulty level of 5.0
  • 1 hour theory paper plus practical. 70% pass mark
 Regional Judge Zonal Judge
  • Minimum age 18
  • Must have held County Judge for at least one year
  • Must have judged execution at a minimum of 10 grade 2-5 competitions since attaining County Judge, including 3 as a difficulty judge
  • Covers competition rules and interpretations
  • Duties of a Chair of Judges
  • Execution judging of routines up to a difficulty level of 10.0
  • Difficulty judging of routines up to a difficulty level of 7.5
  • 1.5 hour theory paper plus practical. 75% pass mark
  • Minimum age 20
  • Must have held Regional Judge for at least one year
  • Must have judged execution at a minimum of 12 grade 1-4 competitions since attaining Regional Judge, including 3 as a difficulty judge and 3 as a chair of judges at grades 1 or 2
  • Covers all competition rules and resolution of solutions not covered by them
  • Duties of a Chair of Judges
  • Execution judging of routines with unlimited difficulty
  • Difficulty judging of routines up to a difficulty level of 12.0
  • Synchronised routines of unlimited difficulty
  • 1.5 hour theory paper plus practical. 80% pass mark
 National Judge 
  • Must have judged a minimum of 15 grade 1-4 competitions since attaining Zonal Judge, including 4 as a difficulty judge, 4 as a chair of judges and 4 as an execution judge at grade 1
  • Covers all competition rules including the differences between BG and FIG
  • Execution judging of routines with unlimited difficulty
  • Difficulty judging of routines with difficulty between 11.5 and 14.5
  • Synchronised routines of unlimited difficulty
  • 1.5 hour theory paper plus practical. 80% pass mark
