Harvey Hadden Sports Complex

Nightflyers is based at Harvey Hadden Sports Complex, which has one of the largest sports halls in Nottinghamshire.

How to get here
Harvey Hadden Sports Complex is located on Wigman Road in Bilborough, Nottingham.          Click here for a map.
Directions from the M1 Northbound Directions from the M1 Southbound
Those of you travelling up the M1 from the South should exit at Junction 25 and turn right to head East along the A52.  Go straight ahead at the next roundabout (Brian Clough Way - sorry!), continuing along the dual carriageway.  At the next junction (footbridge over the top) get in the left lane and take the 2nd exit (A6007 towards Ilkeston).
Continue until you reach the first mini-roundabout, where you turn right up Coventry Lane.  Half a mile down here, you get to the traffic light junction where you turn right onto Trowell Road.  Continue to the next set of lights, where you turn left down Glaisdale Drive.
Continue to the end of this road, then turn left onto Wigman Rd at the mini-roundabout.  The entrance to Harvey Hadden is about 200 yards on your right, just past the traffic calming chicane.
Anyone travelling from the North should exit the M1 Southbound at J26 (A610).  Turn left onto the A610 and then get into the right hand lane as you approach the next roundabout.  Take the 5th exit - A6002 towards Stapleford.
Continue along here to the next roundabout (by the new business park), where you take the first exit (staying on the A6002, Woodhouse Way).  Then at the traffic lights, turn left onto Strelley Road.  Now take the 2nd turning on your right - Wigman Road - and continue along here for about half a mile until you see the turning for Harvey Hadden on your left.
Directions from Grantham / Lincoln - A52 Eastbound
It's probably best to take the ring road around Nottingham unless you know the city centre very well!   So, approaching from the Saxondale roundabout junction with the A46, continue along the A52 for several miles (watch out for the average speed cameras!) until you get to the next roundabout at Gamston.  Turn left, staying on the A52 for a couple of miles to the next roundabout (junction with the A606).  Take the 3rd exit - Nottingham A52 - and go another mile to the next roundabout.  Take the second exit - Nottingham A52.  After a mile or so the speed limit drops to 50. Get into the right hand lane to navigate through our own mini-spaghetti junction and continue heading up the ring road, over the flyover, past the QMC hospital (40 mph limit here). Take the underpass and continue up the ring road to the Crown Island (more 'average speed' cameras on this stretch).  Stick on the ring road (3rd exit) and get into the left hand lane.  At the next traffic lights (by Beechdale swimming baths) turn left onto Beechdale Rd.  At the next roundabout, take the first exit (Hollington Rd - straight on really) and the same at the next one (Wigman Rd).  Now get into the right hand lane as you approach the mini roundabout  to go straight ahead.  The entrance to Harvey Hadden is about 200 yards on your right, just past the traffic calming chicane.
Public Transport
The sports centre is a few miles from Nottingham's main railway station – you’ll need to take a bus or taxi. The number 28 bus goes from Nottingham City centre to Bilborough every 20 minutes (or more often).  The journey takes half an hour. Click here for a timetable The stop for Harvey Hadden is just between the Bathurst Drive and Bracebridge Drive shops. You’ll need to walk from the station across town to get to the right bus stop (Ub) on Upper Parliament Street though – allow 10-15 minutes! Click here for a map of the city centre bus stops All the info is on the Nottingham City Transport website: http://www.nctx.co.uk/Timetables/Timetables.htm
