Thanks to everyone who came along to first grading competition of 2007 at Grimsby. I spent most of the day running around with my hair on fire (what's left of it), so I had to get the gossip second-hand - sorry for any inaccuracies! |

Bethany got our day off to a great start with an excellent 2nd place in her first competition, quickly followed by Victoria also claiming a second place in a very tightly contested group. Scarlett had a bit of a brainstorm in her set, which put her out of contention, despite turning in the best vol of her class. | |||||
Lucy kept our collection of silver trophies going with a solid performance in one of the larger groups, but it was Jamil who finally got us a first place in the U11 G6. Lucy went a bit wobbly in her vol, but Charlotte somehow managed to keep her straightback on the bed to finish 2nd in her first ever Grade 3 competition. | |||||
| Harry, also competing for the first time, delivered a tidy routine and was only narrowly beaten into second place in the U13 G5. | ||||||||
The G6 U15 team started of with an excellent round of set routines, and held 1st, 2nd & 5th places going into the vols. Jade hung on to a medal position in 2nd, while Jess just slipped out of the medals, but they still won the team gold with Grace against 5 other teams, with the highest team score of the competition. | ||||||||
| Next, Adam rather inconveniently forgot how to do a swivel-hips in the middle of his vol, but just to round off the day, Niki actually finished 2 routines on her feet for a change - which was enough to get her a 2nd place. All that hard work actually paid off! | ||||||||
