| Another competition over. We had a good turnout for this one - 16 of you took part, winning 5 individual podium places and two team places. Our best result of the day was undoubtedly Jasmine's well deserved first place in the under 11s. Close on her heels was Sophie, with a tremendous 2nd place in the U15s, then Hollie, Cameron and Callum, each finishing 3rd. Special mentions for Callum, as it was his first ever competition and to Cameron who was competing grade 5 for the first time. Well done to all of the team members in the U9 and U11 Girls grade 6 teams, who finished first and second in their classes. Today's entertainment prize was a close call, with Scarlett deciding to make up her own routine (all 12 moves) when she forgot the one she was meant to do. She was beaten on style and delivery though by a spectacular effort from Becky, who contrived to head-but the floor mat, doing a front drop after tripping off the edge of the trampoline! Classy. I'd like to thank everyone who helped us - especially Ian (first time as chair) and Mark (first time computer recording), plus of course Toni and Helen for their coaching and invaluable team support. Thanks to the team at Charnwood for running the event too. If anyone got any photos, please email them to me so I can put them on here.
