Teachers Trampoline Award Course - May 2008 | 25th March 2008 |
There is a British Gymnastics Teachers Trampoline Award Course for qualified PE and student teachers at Oak Tree Leisure Centre, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire on May 14th, 21st and 22nd. Course Details: This course is being run under the new syllabus and now includes skills up to and including shaped front and back somersaults, plus full twist into and out of body landings. The course is also ideal if you have any staff that currently hold a teachers trampoline qualification interested in attending a refresher course and/or upgrading to the new syllabus. Teachers Trampoline Award Course - January 2008 | 20th November 2007 |
| There is a British Gymnastics Teachers Trampoline Award Course for qualified PE and student teachers at Oak Tree Leisure Centre, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire on January 9th, 16th & 23rd 9am – 5pm. This course is also suitable for any teaching staff that currently hold a trampoline qualification looking to attend a refresher course (which is recommended every 3 years from the original date of qualification.) Course Details: This is the minimum requirement advised by British Gymnastics for teachers in schools who are preparing pupils for GCSE Examinations, School competitions, curricular and extra curricular activities. The course involves coaching of skills up to and including front and back somersaults tucked. This qualification entitles the holder to coach trampolining only as a part of the school curriculum. It is imperative that candidates can commit to the stated dates/times. Any absences/lateness will result in you having to take the whole course again at your own expense. There are a maximum of 15 places available on this course which are none transferable. It is imperative that all candidates arrive on time for all sessions of the course. Candidates are not eligible to coach until they have received a certificate of qualification from British Gymnastics. Entry Requirements: To be eligible for the course candidates must be a minimum of 21 years of age at the start of the course & fit to participate. They must also be one of the following: (a) Specialist trained PE teachers (this may include a specialist PE qualification gained abroad). (b) Trainee teachers who are undertaking the GTP, SCITT or "Teach First" program or who are about to complete their PGCE course and have had a minimum of two terms experience in a school. (c) Non PE specialists who are in possession of a current British Gymnastics Coach Award or higher. Course Fee: £200 Includes resource materials, practical assessment and written theory examination of 45mins. The course fees have been reduced for the January course from £250 to encourage those with no funding to take part. Places on teacher’s courses fill up quickly, so it is advisable to request & return application forms & payment ASAP. |

The EMGA are running 2 Trampoline Coach (level 2) courses at Northampton in 2007 under the Regional Coach Education Programme. This course is available to any one aged 17 years and over who has already completed the Assistant's Award. The cost is approximately £115.00. Anyone who is U19 years and in full-time Education will get a reduction - cost around £60.00. This also covers resource packs and exam fee.Dates: Course 1: 4th, 11th, 18th March, exam TBC Course 2: 10th, 23rd, 24th June, exam TBC

Assistant Coaching Courses March-May 2007 | 11th February 2007 |
The East Midlands region are running a series of Assistant Coach courses over the coming months. Some courses are restricted to 14-16 year-olds. Others are open to anyone over 14. The price for under 16s or anyone under 19 in full-time education is £45. For others it is £90. This also covers resource packs and exam fee. Following this, a Level 2 course (Trampoline Coach) will be starting on 4th March Cost: £115 for over 19 years of age & £60 for under 19.
